Can a landlord go into a tenant’s home to fix a property during the tenant’s last 30 days of tenancy after proper notice?
As with most of the landlord/tenant questions the answer will probably lie in the rental agreement. Get one, read it before moving in and then keep it to read again. There could be two possible answers to this question:
1) If the problem
involves plumbing, electric, etc. the answer is the landlord can fix the problem regardless of when the tenant is moving out.
2) If the landlord is painting,
cleaning carpet, etc. in preparation for the next tenant, the answer is most likely no. The tenant has the right of quiet possession util the tenancy has expired (i.e. they moved out and turned in the keys).
